IPS Management >> Aaron T. Jones
Police officer, homicide detective, criminal investigator, and former bodyguard to royalty, celebrities and other dignitaries. Meet Aaron T. Jones, President and CEO of International Protective Service. With 18 years in security and 17 years in law enforcement behind him, Aaron Jones created IPS in December of 2006, providing estate security to 20 home an elite neighborhood in Albuquerque. Six months later his company was supplying the service to 135 homes, with now over 450 in 2010. He credits his employees for the spectacular growth. "The Agents I have working for me are top-notch. They're active and retired police/sheriff/military personnel along with trained security professionals; they're all outstanding individuals and they're great at what they do."
International Protective Service which is licensed, bonded and insured has two divisions. Security patrol like that in the Four Hills community consists of a 24 hour area patrol and response to a triggered house alarm in 30 seconds to 3 minutes, much faster than city police because they are already in the vicinity. If the security officer realizes that the situation is extremely serious and more help is needed, the police are called. Because International Protective Service has such a good reputation, the police know that if it is called for help it's a true emergency and the response is fast.
Obviously, all homes in the area benefit from having their streets patrolled by an alert and trained professional, but security personnel are only authorized to respond to alarms from homes that are registered with the company. Protective Services, the second division of the company, involve placing someone at a home or business to make it secure 24 hours each day and will expand to include executive protection for clients and their families.
Aaron Jones did not start out wanting to be in law enforcement. He actually wanted to be a musician and was a classical pianist at an early age. Next came the trumpet and then he was off in his band playing the college circuit on two nationwide tours until he began dating a girl whose father was a policeman. That did it for him. He had found what he wanted to do with his life. "I decided I wanted to step forward and do something to contribute to society instead of being in the background, but I will always love music." he says. "It's a big part of my life." Raised in southern New Mexico, Aaron moved to Los Angeles where he had a variety of jobs in security and law enforcement. He worked as a bodyguard for celebrities and dignitaries, was project manager for a visit to the United States by Saudi royalty, and was a Los Angeles police officer. He moved back to New Mexico several years ago and took another job in law enforcement here. For now, International Protective Service is based mainly in the Four Hills community, but, as users of the services keep referring their friends and relatives, other housing communities are becoming interested in having the company provide protection in their area and the company is expanding. If you think your community would like to hear more about the protective services that are available, you can reach Aaron at 897-2420 or 453-7746 to schedule a meeting.
Aaron Jones has other dreams too. His goal is to expand his resources with world-wide connections so that the company can provide protection anywhere in the world. In time, he knows he can make it happen.
APD reports that burglaries were up about 11% and vehicle theft up 45% in 2006. Facts like that make security and peace of mind hard to come by. International Protective Services lives up to its motto, "Providing peace of mind in an ever changing world." Your home and your possessions will be secure, whether you are at work for the day or on vacation for an extended time, when a professional from International Protective Service guards your home. Now, isn't that a service worth investigation?
